Welcome to the Med/Peds Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. We hope you will take this opportunity to learn more about our program and the training opportunities here. For over a decade, we have built a combined residency program that excels in both adult and pediatric clinical training while simultaneously providing an individualized cohesive experience for each resident based on their career plans and personal and professional needs. Our program is fully integrated with our categorical internal medicine and pediatric programs, and benefits from a diverse inpatient and outpatient patient population encompassing normal growth and development, acute care, and the management of complex medical conditions. We have top-notch facilities, including a new adult hospital, women's and infants' hospital, neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, adult critical care tower, separate adult and pediatric emergency departments, and a robust basic science and clinical research program.
We firmly believe that the key to producing successful Med/Peds physicians is a concern for the entirety of a resident's life, not just his performance at the hospital or in the clinic. Our residents and their families are very important to the program leadership, faculty, and other residents. This family atmosphere has allowed our residents to pursue both personal growth and professional growth during their residency, and to be ready for the challenges of further fellowship training, academic practice, or private practice.
Please take some time to look at our website. We would love for you to consider taking a closer look at our people, the program and Jackson by scheduling a rotation with us. Thank you again for considering us for your residency training family.
